Returns & Refunds

When we'll refund or replace an item, how to make a claim, and how long you have.

Change of mind

We don't accept returns for change of mind. If you've simply decided you'd rather not have the card, or found it cheaper elsewhere, we're not able to take it back.

Every listing is photographed, described and priced individually, so please read the description and look at the photos before you buy. If anything is unclear, email us first — we're happy to answer any questions.

When we'll put it right

Contact us and we'll sort it out if any of the following apply:

  • It isn't as described. The condition, grade, set, edition, language or card is materially different from the listing.
  • It arrived damaged. The item was damaged in transit.
  • It didn't arrive. The parcel is lost, or tracking has stopped and Australia Post can't locate it.
  • You received the wrong item.
  • Sealed product isn't factory sealed. If a sealed item shows signs of being opened, resealed or tampered with, that's on us to fix regardless of where we sourced it.

Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are covered if an item is significantly different from its description. You have the right to a refund or a replacement (if we cannot provide an equivalent replacement, a refund will be issued).

How to make a claim

Email support@breadcollectables.com.au, message us on Instagram, or any of our socials within 14 days of delivery with:

  • your order number
  • what's wrong
  • clear photos of the item as it arrived, including the packaging if it's a transit-damage claim

We'll respond within 2 business days and tell you what happens next. We allow a 14-day window to differentiate between a problem with the item and wear that happened after it arrived — it doesn't cut off any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

How we check a claim

Every item is photographed before it's packed, and the cert number of each graded slab is recorded against the order it ships on. Raw cards are shot close enough that their centring, edges and any whitening are identifiable. Those records stay with the order.

We check a returned item against the original condition before a refund is processed. For a parcel that hasn't arrived, we work with the tracking details and the courier to resolve it. For almost every claim this is invisible — you send photos, we agree and it's sorted in a couple of days.

Sending it back

Pack the item the way it arrived:

  • sleeved, and in a toploader or rigid holder
  • sealed with a teambag or relevant padding
  • sent with tracking

An item that's damaged on the way back to us because it was posted loose in an envelope is difficult for anyone to resolve fairly.

Don't crack a graded slab. A slab that's been removed from its case can't be returned — the grade is no longer verifiable as the card is not encapsulated.

You cover the postage to send it back, and we reimburse it once the fault is confirmed, along with the original postage you paid.

Refunds

Approved refunds go back to your original payment method, for the full amount you paid, including shipping. We process them within 2 business days of the item arriving back with us — how long it then takes to appear is up to your bank or card issuer (usually 3 to 5 business days).

Where a replacement is possible and you'd prefer one, we're happy to try and accommodate it.

About our condition descriptions

Raw card grades — Near Mint, Lightly Played, and so on — are our own assessment, made by hand under good light. We photograph every card so you can check our work rather than take our word for it. Occasionally, we may incorrectly assess the condition of a card; if you think we've got one materially wrong, tell us and we'll look again.

Grades on encapsulated cards are assigned by the grading company named on the label — PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC, TAG or another — and are their assessment, not ours. We describe the slab accurately, including its cert number where one is printed, so you can verify it directly with the grader.
